We Surpassed Our 2024 Giving Goal: More Than 100 Donors!

As we look back on 2024, the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) is proud of what we accomplished together. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, partners, and community members, we surpassed our goal of 100 donors and closed the year with 105 contributors who helped fuel our mission.

What We Accomplished Together in 2024

Community generosity enabled us to:

  • Award over $236,000 in grants to 17 nonprofit organizations.
  • Launch the Young Philanthropists, a new youth-led initiative that engages the next generation in giving back to their community.
  • Fund vital programs supporting mental health and foster care.
  • Refresh our brand with a new logo, color palette, and website, reflecting the WGF’s continued growth.

Every gift—whether $10 or $10,000—brought us closer to creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive. Together, we closed 2024 stronger than ever, with momentum that carries us into an exciting year ahead.

Milestones from the 2024 Giving Campaign

Our year-end giving campaign had several moments worth celebrating, including:

  • Giving Tuesday Match: Baird’s SBS Group generously matched $3,000 in online donations, doubling the impact of every gift.
  • Be the 1 of 18 Campaign: Community members stepped up to help us reach and surpass our goal of 100 donors before year-end.
  • Record Participation: With 105 different donors stepping up, this was one of our strongest campaigns to date, showing the deep commitment of our community.

We are truly grateful to everyone who joined us. Your generosity fuels our ability to uplift women and girls, build stronger families, and create a thriving Waukesha County.

Ways to Give in 2025 and Beyond

Our 2024 campaign may be finished, but the need in our community continues. Here are some meaningful ways you can support women and girls this year:

  1. Become a SustainHER Member

Join at one of four levels and make an ongoing difference through convenient monthly giving, starting at just $10 per month.

  2. Direct Your Workplace Giving

If your employer participates in a United Way Campaign, you can designate the WGF through the “write in” option.

  3. Planned and Legacy Giving

Consider leaving a lasting legacy through estate gifts or IRA required minimum distributions (RMDs). Donors who include WGF in their plans are welcomed into our Legacy Circle.

  4. Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

Designate a contribution from your DAF to extend your impact.

  5. Matching Gifts

Ask your employer to match your gift and instantly double your contribution.

  6. Friendraisers

Engage your network by hosting a Friendraiser to raise awareness and funds for WGF’s mission.

  7. Event Sponsorship

Support our signature events, such as the Women of Distinction and Nine & Wine, which celebrate, uplift, and raise money for women and girls in Waukesha County.

Looking Ahead

In 2025, we are excited to build on this momentum with new initiatives, partnerships, and opportunities to engage our community. Together, we will continue to acknowledge, celebrate, and elevate women and girls across Waukesha County.
