Apply for a Grant

Each year, the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) awards grants to local nonprofit agencies to support projects and programs that promote women and girls of all ages. Focus areas include health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment. Since its inception, the WGF has granted more than $1.6 million to county-wide nonprofit organizations.

Grant Request FAQs

How Much? Program/project grant request can be submitted for up to $20,000

How Many? Organizations may submit more than one program/project for consideration. A separate letter of intent must be submitted for each program/project.

Grant Year? May 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025

Geographic Focus? Waukesha County

Eligibility? All 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations providing significant programs to benefit women and girls in Waukesha County.

Limitations? Standards specify that grantees receiving competitive grants in any given year are ineligible to apply for a grant the following year. Therefore, organizations that received a grant in 2023 will not be eligible to apply for funding again until 2025.

The WGF does not fund event sponsorship. Grants will not be made for religious, government or political purposes, nor to individuals.

Grant Letter of Intent Procedure

Letter of Intent Procedure:  Submit completed grant letter of intent application form online.

All questions/sections must be completed and upon submission will automatically be received by the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County.

Applications will re-open in December 2024.
