2024 Nine & Wine: A Record-Breaking Day of Golf, Wine, and Community
On August 9, 2024, more than 100 women gathered at Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee for the third annual Nine & Wine Golf Outing. It was our biggest one yet! Hosted by the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County, Nine & Wine has evolved from a small gathering into one of our most anticipated summer events, and in 2024, we were able to double the number of spots open for golfers.
Whether participants were longtime golfers or picking up a club for the first time, the atmosphere was welcoming and full of energy.
The afternoon kicked off with warm-ups and registration, followed by a 2:00 PM shotgun start. Every cart came stocked with drink tickets, and water stations were available throughout the course. After nine holes, the celebration continued with a post-golf reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, wine tastings, raffle baskets, awards, and the debut of our first-ever wine pull. Guests had more than 25 themed raffle baskets to choose from, including favorites like the L’BRI collection, Suburban Bourbon, and Mexican Fiesta. The spirited wine pull was a standout addition, with prizes valued up to $100.
Every part of the day supported the Women and Girls Fund’s mission to improve the quality of life for women and girls in Waukesha County. Funds raised through this event help us support programs that advance health, well-being, self-sufficiency, and leadership.
